9-Day High-Altitude Trekking Adventure in the Alay Mountains
Overview
A challenging nine-day journey through the mountains of Southern Kyrgyzstan with gradual acclimatization, remote yurt camps and crossings of the Sary-Mogol and Jiptik passes. The route also visits alpine lakes, traditional villages and the landscapes surrounding Lenin Peak.

Itinerary
Depart from Osh in the morning and drive through Chyyrchyk pasture, where panoramic mountain views, yurts, horses and traditional herding life can be seen. Continue to Chon-Bulolu village for lunch and begin a slow-paced 17-kilometer acclimatization hike lasting approximately 5–6 hours. After the hike, meet the vehicle and continue to Sopu-Korgon. The hike includes approximately 810 meters of ascent and 910 meters of descent, reaching a highest point of about 2810 meters.

This tour involves consecutive trekking days, steep ascents and descents, remote terrain and passes above 4000 meters. Good physical fitness, trekking shoes, warm and lightweight clothing and trekking poles are strongly recommended. Porter service is not included.
