Itinerary
Leave Osh behind and climb to Taldyk Pass (3,600m), where yaks graze on endless green pastures. After lunch in Sary-Tash, continue to Tulpar-Kul Lake at 3,500m, right at the foot of mighty Lenin Peak. An easy evening walk along the shore starts your acclimatisation before the first night under canvas.

Before you book you should know
This is a multi-day 4x4 road trip with optional day hikes up to 4,400-4,800m. No technical climbing skills are needed, but a reasonable level of fitness and comfort with high altitude, long driving days and basic rural conditions is important.
